The government has introduced various employment programmes that are meant to equip youth with the necessary skills and experience in order to improve their employability. These are structured programmes that run between 6 – 12 months where the youth receive a fix stipend for the duration of the contract.

The youth are contracted to work in their community where they will engage in various activities that will uplift their communities. The youth that graduate from these types of programmes have typical reported that receiving a stipend was a gamechanger in alleviating the levels of poverty for their family’s and community.

EMPOWERHUB will partner with various community-based organisation that are already working with youth to implement much needed employment programmes.  

The Youth age to qualify for the employment programme is 18 – 35.
